Installation and configuration of the NetMotion Mobility client on iOS

Prerequisites

  • username and password issued by T|Forge

  • DNS name of the NetMotion Mobility server.

Info

If you are a T|Forge NetMotion Access customer then the DNS name will be access.tforge.net

T|Forge NetMotion Premium or Premium On-Premise customers will be issued a unique customer-specific DNS name from T|Forge.

Reseller based customers will need to get the server DNS address from their provider.

Instructions

  1. Download the Mobility client from the App Store by searching for “Netmotion” as shown below or by navigating to the following link - NetMotion Mobility. Click on the download button to the right of the screen

  2. Once the download has completed, click on the “Open” button to launch the application

  3. Accept the notification that will pop up to allow notifications by clicking “Allow”

  4. Next, you will need to click on “Select” to start configuring the connection

  5. You will need to accept one more request to allow access to create a VPN connection for the application to function correctly. Click “Allow”

  6. Next, we will be presented with a screen where you will need to input the ForgeNet Mobility server’s DNS name as per below. The Description can be anything you like but for the sake of this guide, we called it “ForgeNet”. The Server has to be set to the DNS name you were given or access.tforge.net for T|Forge NetMotion Mobility Access customers so be sure to enter it correctly.

  7. Once you have completed the above you should have a screen like the below. Click the back arrow to return to the main screen of the application

  8. You are now ready to connect by switching the ForgeNet rocker to the top right of the screen. Enter the username and password that Tforge has issued you with and leave the domain section as none, then click Ok to log on.

Please Note: The name next to the rocker switch might be different. It will be whatever you named the “Description” field during the setup.

  9. You will know you are successfully connected to the server once you see the “Connected” status as per below

Congratulations, you have now successfully completed the installation of the NetMotion Mobility client on iOS. Should you experience any problems, be sure to contact us on 0100350909.
